Bones | 01x15 Two Bodies in the Lab
I think what I like about this is that we get to see Brennan in a position of vulnerability. Everything we see of her is cold and calculated, unemotional and withdrawn. We aren’t able to connect with her on a personal level. This scene lets us see another side of Brennan, an emotional, scared side. She’s been taken out of a position of control and placed into one of submission within minutes. In the end, she has to rely on somebody else for support, literally and metaphorically. This really showcases the growing relationship between Booth and Brennan in that Booth, though badly injured, still feels a need to save Brennan himself. It’s a tender moment where tenderness is unexpected; him rubbing her back and telling her he’s here and that it’s alright, her sobbing into his shoulder, the hug. It’s something special.
THIS SCENE. GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSS THIS SCENE.
I’m sorry. Listen to me. If you find somebody that you can trust, you hang on to ‘em. Remember that.

I don’t really know how I got here,
But I’m sure glad that I did.
And it’s crazy to think that one little thing
Could’ve changed all of it.
Maybe it didn’t turn out like I planned,
Maybe that’s why I’m such, such a lucky man.
I knew, right from the beginning, that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together.
